Ceramic Coatings Near Chesterfield & Richmond VA

Ceramic coatings are one of the best ways to protect your vehicle and keep it looking like new. Miranda detailing has been providing ceramic coatings for our clients for over ten years and only use high-quality ceramic coatings. We use coatings from Gtechnic and Gyeon that deliver up to 7 years of protection if you maintain the vehicle with one of our maintenance packages.

What is a ceramic coating?

A ceramic coating is a permanent paint protection liquid that dries to a rock-hard surface on your vehicle. Ceramic coatings are a silica-based product and not made from natural waxes like carnauba. Ceramic coatings are extremely hard and was cured they are permanently bonded to the vehicle’s surface until they ultimately wear down or are mechanically removed. Traditional waxes and paint sealants are easy ways to keep your vehicle looking shiny and protected for a few months but ceramic coatings can last many years.

What are the benefits of ceramic coatings?

Ceramic coatings have many benefits over traditional car waxes and paint sealants. Some of the main characteristics that make them superior are their longevity, self-cleaning properties, resistance to environmental contaminants, and they are easier to clean.

Ceramic coatings are great for vehicles in the Richmond and Chesterfield area because they can handle the wild swings in weather much better than wax. Our environment has rain, snow, hot and humid days, and everything in between and ceramic coatings are great for UV protection and preventing contamination from the elements. Acid rain and road salt and grime have a tougher time bonding to the coating which makes it easier to clean. The self-cleaning properties of ceramic coatings really mean that things cannot stick to it so even a rain shower can basically wash your vehicle off for you instead of pooling up and sticking to your car’s paint, glass, or chrome.

Traditional waxes really can make a vehicle’s surface pop but they lack durability and protection and only last a month or two in our area. New paint sealants can last longer but still need to be applied every 4-6 months to maintain them. This is where ceramic coatings shine (pun intended) because ceramic coatings that we use can last anywhere from 2 years to 7 years! Let us maintain your ceramic-coated vehicle for the Richmond and Chesterfield weather and winters and we can help maximize the longevity and performance of the ceramic coating.
